Place

The chapters in the Place section of Kansaki through Kiwi eyes shows Kiwi’s Kansai is an accessible place to get to, is affordable and manageable. It can help the education of young people, show world heritage, and provide business opportunities. Future perspectives Kiwis may be stimulated to think about in places of Kansai can mature by fuller understanding of Kansai culture, government and its economic world. An active New Zealand response to the Japanese government emphasis on visit Japan could stimulate more Kansai baby boomers, students and others to visit and study in New Zealand. Visits to places and people gives opportunities for relationships to start and grow – and some will prove sustainable and reciprocal in character.
